Quevin.com was previously an install of Drupal 6. We decided to upgrade our website to Acquia Drupal after agreeing that Acquia can help provide the commercial, enterprise-level support we may need. This was also a dry run of Acquia's Developer Support Network, which we are a paying member of. This allows us to draw upon Acquia's resources directly when we need a little extra help on various projects we accept.
We also tried something new with our Drupal theme. The 960.gs CSS framework is going to be part of Drupal 7's default theme set soon. We have used Yahoo UI, YAML, Blueprint, and 960.gs for various projects and realize how effective they can be to accelerate the development and theming process.
Blueprint is great for larger websites that need extra granularity and control of their grid, while 960.gs meets the needs of 99% of our clients. We chose the 960.gs CSS framework and developed a sub-theme from Zen with this in mind. After a little alteration to our original Quevin.com design to fit the 960 grid, it was surprisingly quick to integrate slices and various elements to finish the theme.
