4k development job to refactor and optimize performance of existing codebase

Over the past year I have created a Drupal messaging application in my evening hours and weekends. This application consists of a custom module, a custom zen based theme and some drupal modules like views, cck and rules etc. This application is functionally (nearly) complete, but is performing poorly. This application is intended for a friend of mine who is the founder of a foundation for conflict simulation training.

The codebase contains ideas that have developed over the last year, but which have not been coded consistently and have not been refactored and cleaned so far. I know that it contains some constructs that have a significant impact on performance and can be done much more efficiently. However I have just started in a new job and got my second child. This means I am no longer able to put effort in refactoring and performance tuning this application/the custom module and theme.

I am looking to get in contact with drupal developers that are up for a challenge and are interested in finishing/refactoring this application, make it perform and finding and configuring a matching hosting solution in order for this application to be used by the foundation in simulation training.

Drupal Developer

Need to have directory website built to house a lot of content. I have found some examples, although different in subject, are similar in how we want to lay out our site. We would like to use drupal CMS for the project and would like to hear from drupal developers.

Example Layout:
www.degreedirectory.org

- drop down menus for navigation
- hierarchy of menus (taxonomy)
- using data in our database to display graphs and charts
- displaying lists of items based on the relationships built into our mysql database.

We currently have a mysql database build and we would like to use the relationship build in the mysql database and inject the data in Drupal. More or less build a site framework by importing data into Drupal.

Request for information/pre-built site template

I am a newbie to Drupal. I have much experience with Wordpress but I am pretty sure that it is not robust enough for what I want to build.
I am interested in building a site where
-users can create a profile,
-upload photos of items,
-these items can be categorized by a checklist/category and become searchable,
-the user can then share their uploaded images/text blurb via Facebook Connect to their community.
-Multiple users need to be able to access at one time.
-Ideally the user will be able to just login to my main site via FB connect-however they will need it to connect to a profile on my site so they can upload/modify,delete items as needed from their profile.
-I would also like the site to be searchable by category so when a user uploads something new they can search by that category, or search by who they are friends with in their Facebook community.

I will admit that I am much more interested in finding a solution or template that is already setup for this where I am not recreating from scratch. I would imagine there have been many sites that have been created such as this-any leads on those would be great. I can easily modify from there to make it into what I want as I am above average at coding. Again I just rather not recreate the wheel here.

multi step form requirement for drupal 6 developed real estate listings site

I have a property listings site which I am developing for a client. I have created a custom type to hold the property listing, views and some blocks etc.

However because I am asking for quite a lot of information the create "property" default form is quite large and unwieldy - it has been discussed and we would like to break it down into a 5 stage "wizard" form.

I was going to do this myself, and hard code each form and values, but looking into it, I would prefer to get an expert in.

So I am looking for someone to create this form based on my content type for me, with validation and the following features;

1) add "property" node form 5 stages, "Location", "description", "price", "images", "legal"
2) be able to edit a "property" node, and go to each stage of the wizard to edit
3) validation of fields, and I am using the geocode function from gmap to check postcodes

Public Info Website for November's Elections

I'm a college student looking to make public information site to profile municipal and state level politicians in colorado. Federal politicians have their own websites to set their positions on important issues and those can be followed up on factcheck.org or wikipedia. However, much of the Colorado state assembly is nearly anonymous. Same goes for mayors, city councils, school boards, and sheriffs.

I'd like to build a site using drupal that allows me to make standardized profile questions for different elected positions. So for example sheriffs would be asked to answer a standardized set of questions on gun control, violence, etc... City council members would be asked to answer questions on zoning and public works.

The site needs to allow for an administrator to create the forms and then the ability to authorize a login for these local politicians to fill in their profiles and edit them. The second part of the site needs to be a forum for people to discuss local politics. The reason I post here, is because beyond installing drupal I have zero experience in drupal. From my research, it seems like the modules for what this site needs already exist and need to be lightly modified.

I am looking for someone to do some work for me regarding forms in Drupal.

I need:

The Organic Groups "Create Group" form split into three steps. Basically Step 1 - Group info, Step 2 - Permissions and Content, Step 3 - Invite members. There is one custom field for the "group" logo, other then that it is the standard form.

Also, I have created a separate template for the User Registration form. I have created CSS for the button but am having trouble getting the button styled on the actual page. I need this done, as well as the template edited to show error messages for duplicate username and/ or e-mails. I also need a message displayed for user successful registration informing them to check their e-mail.

Please let me know an estimate of how much this would cost, as well as how long it would take.

Drupal Developer Needed for Classified Module Add-on

I'm looking for a Drupal developer, preferably one with some newspaper experience, who can create an add-on module for the Classifieds (also known as ed_classified) module.

I need this add-on to be able to take the information entered into a classified ad, and correctly charge for a print-edition as well. The user would be able to create a classified ad, and select an option to create the print version. A notice would need to be sent to the administrator, and the charges would need to be based on correct hyphenation and justification rules. A UI would be needed so that we could change those setting as time progresses, and change the print charges as well.

Need Payment System for File Download using Paypal

We have a Drupal website that needs to sell an eBook for instant download using Paypal as the payment gateway. I'm looking for someone to use the absolute simplest way for us to do this.

It could be using Ubercart, or a custom module. There is no need for a "cart" of any kind however, as the process should run something like this:
